Shaping for Nick started at an early age. Inspired by the Shapers before him, Nick takes timeless shapes and creates them for today`s surfing.
Nick's designs reflect his appreciation of the retro surfing era with performance in mind. Nick's shaping career started in Scotland (UK), from there he has shaped throughout Europe and the USA.
Now living on Oahu, Hawaii, Nick feels shaping in the islands has been a key success for his shapes, to produce boards that surf in various conditions and riding styles and to be surrounded by pioneering shapers such as Ben Aipa and Dick Brewer.
Nick surfs throughout the Islands and is often seen testing new shapes with his riders before the boards are realeased into the market.
Nick's main focus as a shaper is to create boards that enhance an individuals surfing ability - boards that make you rip!
Nick strives on making quality custom surfboards, personalising each one to each rider. His boards are hand shaped, he develops his own fin templates and uses some of the finest glassers in the world.
